The
Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL), which is located
within the Multi-Disciplinary Project Laboratory in
the process of acquiring new research facilities.
Major experimental facilities include:
-
fume chamber to carry out synthesis of
nanostructured materials for lithium batteries
and solar cells;
-
glove box for handling air-sensitive samples;
-
battery tester for electrochemical
characterization of lithium cells;
-
multi-channel potentiostat for a variety of
electrochemical measurements (e.g. potentiastat,
galvanostat, impedance, fuel cell testing
etc.,);
-
current source; electrometer and digital
multimeters for transport measurements;
-
vacuum ovens and vacuum furnaces;
-
powerful workstations for advanced
multi-disciplinary numerical simulations.
The
ESL is equipped to provide excellent opportunities
for ESP students to absorb fundamentals of various
energy systems and to explore novel ideas by
carrying out a variety of experiments along with
understanding of the theoretical background.
